Frontier’s $249 Flight Pass Could Make Fall and Winter Getaways More Affordable

    Oct 20

A season of spontaneous trips could cost less than expected. Frontier Airlines is offering its Fall & Winter GoWild Pass for $249, giving travelers access to nearly unlimited flights across its network through February 2027.

The catch? This is not an all-inclusive ticket. Travelers pay one cent per flight segment, plus applicable government taxes and fees. The pass includes one personal item, while carry-on bags, checked luggage, and other extras may cost more. Advance booking and seat-selection restrictions can also make coordinating trips with family or friends more difficult.

    Where could you go?

The pass could be especially useful for travelers who want to explore several destinations during the cooler months.

    • Fall foliage: Frontier serves cities such as Boston, Buffalo, Hartford, and Syracuse, offering starting points for autumn road trips.
    • Mountain escapes: Denver provides access to Colorado destinations, including Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley.
    • Sunny winter breaks: Florida destinations include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Pensacola, and Sarasota.
    • Ski trips: Reno and Salt Lake City can serve as gateways to winter sports destinations, although ground transportation and lodging add to the total cost.

Frontier also offers annual and monthly GoWild options. According to the source, the monthly plan costs $149 per month with a $119 enrollment fee, with a limited-time offer waiving the first month’s fee.

    Is the pass worth it?

The biggest advantage is flexibility. If you can travel on short notice, find eligible flights, and keep additional costs low, multiple trips could make the $249 purchase worthwhile.

However, travelers who need fixed departure dates, assigned seats, or guaranteed availability may find the restrictions frustrating. Before purchasing, review the current booking rules, blackout dates, eligible flights, and fees.

The smarter take: Don’t measure the pass by how many flights it promises. Calculate how much you could realistically save on trips you’d actually take, including taxes, baggage, transportation, and accommodations. The best deal is the one that lowers your total travel costs—not simply your airfare.
