Delta Air Lines is refreshing its Delta One business-class experience with upgraded dining, premium drinks, better bedding, redesigned amenity kits, and enhanced in-flight entertainment.
The airline describes the changes as its largest investment in the premium cabin experience in nearly 30 years. The project has been shaped by a team of experienced flight attendants who began working on the redesign in 2022.
The rollout starts this fall on transoceanic Delta One flights departing Los Angeles International Airport, with a broader expansion across Delta’s global network planned for early 2027.
Here’s what travelers can expect.

- A more ambitious menu: New dishes include a Wagyu burger and Hong Kong-style sea bass, alongside a Champagne Taittinger sorbet pairing. Passengers will have more advance meal choices, including gluten-free options, lighter dishes, and meals served before arrival.
- More time to choose meals: Travelers can select their entrée up to 18 hours before departure, extending the deadline by six hours.
- An upgraded drinks list: New options include Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon, Hugo Spritz, and Paloma cocktails, with non-alcoholic versions of the cocktails available. Dassai 45 sake will appear on select flights to and from Tokyo Haneda.
- Better sleep amenities: Refreshed winter amenity kits and an additional Missoni Mini pillow on ultra-long-haul flights aim to make sleeping onboard more comfortable. Bombas products will also return on select routes.
- Improved entertainment: Delta is introducing next-generation seatback screens and digital features designed to simplify content discovery and personalization.
The changes focus on more than luxury touches. Greater meal flexibility and improved sleep options could make long-haul journeys more comfortable and convenient.
The smarter take: If you’re considering paying extra for Delta One, the upgrades may strengthen its appeal on long international flights. However, the rollout is phased, so travelers should check which features will be available on their specific flight rather than assuming every aircraft will offer the complete experience immediately.
